RESEARCH CAREER OVERVIEW

Prof. Ioannis Michaloudis is a researcher internationally acknowledged as one of the leaders in Art&NanoScience and the first ever creator and investigator on the application of the NASA’s nanomaterial silica aerogel in Fine Arts and Design. Prof. Michaloudis has 28 years of Research experience, since his doctorate research at Sorbonne University. . After receiving the Fulbright “Award for Greek Artists”, he had been invited as a Research Fellow by MIT to undertake Postdoctoral research on Art & Nanotechnology. Since June 2018, Research Associate, NCSR Demokritos, Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Athens Greece (Honorary Position). Between 2018-2020 he collaborated with Maison Boucheron for the creation of the high jewellery “Skydrop” made of silica aerogel.
